Microsoft has come again with a new level of augmented reality gaming,Microsoft recently showcased their new research project:Room Alive,it turns your ordinary room into a video game itself, The system uses couple of projectors and kinects to project content throught out a room that you can interact with, as you can see in the video by Microsoft(below).
Microsoft says that the system is completely auto calibrating and self locating,enabling it to calculate the complete 3d rendered model of your by the help of kinect in minute, so you have to just install the system in the room the anf it will auto calibrate itself according to the 3d geometry of your room, Room Alive not just project content but it also track your motion while you hit, kick, or shoot creatures with weapons
the potential of this system is very huge not just in gaming, but also for fields like education or military training , i think soon time will come when we all are jumping or running around our room, hitting and kicking our walls,
