this year google science fair got lots of interesting projects but the one which  won the competition is from a teenager from greece ,angelo getsis .young man claimed the prize for creating a pair of glasses which gives vision to the blind people by navigating there way around the city with help of couple of sensors and microprocessors which are fitted on the glass

well the winner of greek part of google science fair angelo, said that these glasses will replace the traditional canes which are used by the blinds

distance sensor
while he won 1st prize in greek region but his project is also voted as one of the six best project that were prsented in europe and one of the 32 best project globally
his smart glasses are powered by battery and it has an on/off switch, angelo wrote the algorithium by him self and uploded it to the glasses.he used the distance sensors to detects the objects around it using ultasonic sound waves thus it gives very accurate results and along with that it is fairly cheap and it will reduce the costing of manufacturing .the glasses are still in the eary stages of prototype so let see when will we able to see this innovation of this genius in the commercial market.
